Overton United continued their impressive start to the season with a 2–0 win over Hayling United at Bridge Street on Saturday.
The home side took control of the match early on, striking twice in quick succession. Adam Hargood opened the scoring in the 18th minute, before Charlie Short doubled the advantage just two minutes later. The hosts managed the game well from there, keeping Hayling at bay and ensuring another clean sheet.
The result means Overton remain the only side in the league with a 100 per cent record, underlining their strong early-season form.
They return to action next weekend, when they host Hedge End Town at Bridge Street. Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday, 27 September.
