Overton United extended their unbeaten league run with an emphatic 4-0 victory against Nursling and Shirley at Bridge Street.
Macauley Martin opened the scoring in the 7th minute, setting the tone for a dominant performance. Louis Wilson then struck twice, first in the 12th minute and again in the 41st, before Martin wrapped up the win with a 67th-minute finish. The result showcased Overton United’s clinical edge and attacking flair.
In contrast, Overton United Reserves had a tougher outing, falling 3-1 at home to Headley Reserves in their season opener. Despite the defeat, the reserves displayed glimpses of promise and will look to regroup ahead of their next fixture.
With the first team in fine form, Overton United will aim to carry their momentum into upcoming matches.
