Town Meadow Golf Club is inviting golf enthusiasts and newcomers alike to its Open Day on Sunday 22nd March, from 9am to 1pm. The event will give visitors the chance to explore the club, meet members, and enjoy a range of activities throughout the morning.
Those attending can enquire about membership, sign up on the day, or take part in competitions, including a nearest-to-the-pin challenge with a prize to be won. Golfers of all abilities can test their skills on the putting practice green or enjoy walking tours of the 9-hole course. Bacon rolls and hot drinks will be available for purchase (cash only).
The day also features golf clinics and walk-up lessons with PGA-qualified instructor Eddy Holland, who is based at Test Valley Golf Club and a strong supporter of Overton’s course. The timetable includes:
- 09:00 – 09:15: Chipping Clinic
- 09:15 – 10:00: Walk-Up Lessons
- 10:00 – 10:15: Improve Your Setup Clinic
- 10:15 – 11:00: Walk-Up Lessons
- 11:00 – 11:15: The Full Swing Clinic
- 11:15 – 12:00: Walk-Up Lessons
The Open Day is open to members and non-members of all ages, though parking is limited, so local visitors are encouraged to walk.
This is a great opportunity to experience the friendly atmosphere of Overton’s community golf course and pick up tips from a professional instructor.
