This Christmas and New Year, Overton Radio is your soundtrack to the season. From familiar routines to proper end-of-year celebrations, we have the holidays covered from start to finish.
Up to and including Christmas Eve
Our schedule runs as normal right through to Christmas Eve, with the shows and presenters you know keeping you company as the festive build-up reaches its peak.
Christmas Eve
At 5pm, we rewind the years with Retro Rewind.
From 6pm until midnight, it’s time for the Christmas Eve Mixtape – six uninterrupted hours of classic 80s and 90s tracks. No links, no breaks, just a carefully chosen mix to carry you through the night before Christmas.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day on Overton Radio is welcoming, and full of familiar voices:
- 7am – Rob Francis
- 10am – Chris Cloke and Vikki Fox
- 1pm – Alex Soto
- 4pm – Paul Robinson
- 7pm – Grooveline with Stephen Howie
Whether you’re up early, hosting family, or taking a quiet moment for yourself, we’ll be there throughout the day.
Boxing Day and our seasonal break
On Boxing Day, we lean fully into the festive mood with non-stop Christmas songs.
After that, we begin our annual break, with Just Great Songs playing around the clock until we return to our normal schedule on January 5th.
New Year’s Eve – the big one
From 6pm on New Year’s Eve through to 6am, Overton Radio turns into the ultimate party station.
That’s 12 hours of non-stop Party Anthems – the biggest dance tracks, floor-fillers, and sing-along classics, back to back, all night long.
As midnight approaches, the energy builds, the volume goes up, and we count you down into 2026 in proper style. No interruptions, no distractions – just a huge soundtrack.
New Year’s Day
On New Year’s Day, Grooveline returns at 7pm, right on schedule, easing you back into the new year.
However you celebrate, wherever you are, Overton Radio is with you all the way through Christmas and into 2026. Familiar voices, trusted music, and one very big night to remember.
