Overton Radio’s Earl Robinson has laced up his trainers and hit the ground running — literally — as he begins his incredible “51 in 51” workout challenge in support of a local family whose little boy is battling cancer.
Earl, who presents Twist Of Faith every other Sunday from 2pm–4pm on Overton Radio, is taking on 51 consecutive workout sessions over 51 days to raise funds for the Johnson family. Their young son, Alfred, is currently undergoing treatment for high-risk neuroblastoma — a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.
Since launching the challenge, Earl has already raised over £1,100, with donations pouring in from listeners, friends, and supporters across the community.
“There are so many hidden costs when a child is seriously ill — travel, time off work, meals away from home — and I just wanted to do something that could make a difference,” Earl said. “This challenge is tough, but it’s nothing compared to what the Johnsons are going through.”
His determination and community spirit have already inspired dozens to donate, and the support continues to grow each day.

Don’t forget to tune in and hear from Earl himself on Twist Of Faith, airing fortnightly on Sundays from 2pm–4pm on Overton Radio.
Let’s rally around this amazing effort and show Alfred and his family that Overton stands with them.
