Overton Co-op Faces Supply Issues Due to Cyber Attack

Overton Co-op has been facing temporary supply disruptions following a recent cyber attack that has impacted its suppliers. While the store itself was not directly targeted, the ripple effects of the attack have led to shortages in stock, affecting the variety of products available to customers.

A spokesperson for the Co-op confirmed that the attack, which took place earlier this week, had primarily targeted their suppliers, causing a significant delay in deliveries. As a result, several key items are currently unavailable, and the store is working hard to ensure it can return to normal service as soon as possible.

“We want to reassure our customers that while we have experienced some disruption, the shop itself has not been directly affected by the attack,” said the spokesperson. “We are in constant communication with our suppliers to resolve the issue, and we are doing everything we can to minimize the impact on our customers.”

The store has been working tirelessly to restock and resume a full range of products, but customers are advised to check for availability before visiting. In the meantime, the Co-op has assured the community that it will continue to provide essential goods, including fresh produce, as much as possible.

“We appreciate the understanding and patience of our loyal customers during this challenging time,” the spokesperson added.

The store has not specified which suppliers were affected by the cyber attack but is hopeful that normal supply chains will be restored soon. For now, staff are doing their best to ensure that stock levels are maintained and any shortages are managed efficiently.
