New Squirrel Scouts Drey Launches in Overton – Volunteers Needed!

There’s an exciting new opportunity for young adventurers in Overton – a brand-new Squirrel Scouts Drey has opened its doors for children aged 4 to 6.

The group meets on Thursday evenings from 5.15pm to 6.00pm in the church rooms at St. Mary’s Church, and it promises fun, friendship, and plenty of discovery for little ones just starting their Scouting journey.

But the Squirrel Scouts can’t thrive without adult support – and that’s where you come in. The team is looking for more volunteers to join the adventure, try something new, and make a real difference in the local community.

“You don’t need to have been a Scout yourself,” said organiser Ellie Selwood. “All you need is enthusiasm, a willingness to get stuck in, and a smile. It’s a fantastic way to give back and to be part of something that genuinely changes lives – for the children and the adults alike.”

If you’d like to find out more about joining the new Drey or becoming a volunteer, email ellie.selwood@hampshirescouts.org.uk.
