A new course, The Bereavement Journey, is starting on Thursday 16th October from 2pm to 4.15pm in the Church Rooms, offering compassionate support for those coping with loss.
The course, provided by the charity AtaLoss and run by local churches for their communities, uses an award-winning series of films and guided discussions to gently help adults process grief, regardless of when their bereavement occurred. Participants will explore the varied ways grief can affect daily life, and receive guidance to help discern personal next steps.
Uniquely, The Bereavement Journey also provides holistic support, including signposting to additional resources. An optional final session addresses faith-related questions in bereavement from a Christian perspective, making the course suitable for people of all faiths—or none.
