Residents of Overton are warmly invited to lend a hand to the latest environmental initiative by Sustainable Overton, taking place this Saturday morning.
The community group will be meeting at 10:00am on the verge along Sapley Lane, near the bend at the top of Winchester Street, as part of their ongoing efforts to enhance and maintain green spaces throughout the village.
Volunteers will assist with general tidying and maintenance of the area, and there will also be an opportunity to discuss early proposals for improvements to the Sapley Lane play area. Local residents, especially those living nearby or with an interest in community development, are encouraged to attend and share their views.
All necessary tools and gloves will be provided, and light refreshments—including tea and biscuits—will be available for those taking part.
Sustainable Overton’s work plays a valuable role in preserving the village’s natural beauty and fostering a spirit of community engagement. Those wishing to contribute their time or ideas are most welcome.
