Hampshire County Council has confirmed that the B3400 will be closed on Monday, 31st March, from 8pm to 6am for essential road surface patching work. The closure will affect the section between the Fox Lane turn and Rectory Road at Oakley.
As a result of this closure, all buses on service 76 departing from Basingstoke and Andover from 7.50pm onwards will operate a direct route between Overton Community Centre and Basingstoke bus and rail stations via the A303. Unfortunately, this means buses will not be able to serve the stops at Deane Gate, Oakley, or along Worting Road.
Hampshire County Council is urging affected travellers to be patient during this time, as the work is necessary for the maintenance of the road, though it may cause some disruption. Alternative routes will be in place, and passengers are encouraged to plan ahead.
