Free Bus Travel for Military Personnel on Remembrance Days

Stagecoach South will be offering free bus travel to military personnel, veterans, and cadets this Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day as a mark of respect for their service.

The offer will apply to anyone currently serving in the armed forces or cadet organisations who travels in uniform, as well as veterans displaying their medals or wearing military badges while attending remembrance events. Those with a valid military ID card will also be eligible.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach South said the gesture was a small way of honouring the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces, both past and present.

“We’re proud to support our military community each year,” the company said. “Offering free travel is our way of helping people come together to remember and pay their respects.”

Remembrance Sunday falls on November 9th this year, with Armistice Day observed two days later on November 11th. Two minutes’ silence will be held across the country at 11am on both days to commemorate those who lost their lives in conflict.
