Entries Open for Overton 5 Road Race 2026

Runners are being invited to sign up for the return of one of Hampshire’s most popular road races, with entries now open for the 2026 Overton 5.

The race will take place on Sunday, 6 September 2026, and will once again form the second fixture in the Hampshire Road Race League calendar.

Organisers say the event is set to be bigger and better than ever, welcoming runners of all abilities to take on the challenging five-mile course through the Hampshire countryside.

Whether competitors are experienced club runners chasing a personal best or newcomers looking to progress from their first 5K race, the Overton 5 aims to provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere alongside competitive racing.

The event is well known for its fully closed-road course, giving participants a safe and enjoyable race experience. Continuing its commitment to sustainability, the race will also remain completely plastic-free.

Entry fees have been set at £21 for England Athletics affiliated runners and £23 for non-affiliated runners.

Organisers have also revealed that every finisher will receive a special race memento in 2026.

A spokesperson said: “Every runner deserves a reward after braving the Overton hills.”

The Overton 5 has become a popular fixture on the local running calendar, attracting competitors from across Hampshire and beyond, while also drawing support from spectators lining the route through the village.

Entries are now open and runners are encouraged to secure their place early.
