The Overton Harriers face a testing weekend as the club prepares for two major fixtures in quick succession.
On Saturday, athletes travel to Aldershot for a cross-country meet that promises fast running and tough ground conditions. The course is known for sharp climbs and tight turns, and it will provide a clear early test of form as the winter season builds.
Less than twenty-four hours later, attention shifts to the south coast for the Gosport Half Marathon. The flat route along the seafront often produces strong times, but the open stretches leave runners exposed to coastal winds. Many Harriers will tackle both events, adding an extra layer of difficulty to the weekend.
Club officials say the squad is ready for the challenge, with several runners expected to post competitive results in both fixtures. The double-header marks one of the busiest weekends in the club’s autumn calendar and sets the tone for the weeks ahead.
