If you’re going to bring in a new premium beer, you might as well make a proper song and dance about it. That’s exactly what The Red Lion in Overton is doing as it raises a glass (and several free pints) to celebrate its newest addition behind the bar — Hawkstone Premium.
The locally renowned pub is going “all out” with a special launch event on the afternoon of Saturday 2nd August, offering free pints of Hawkstone to punters wanting to taste what Jeremy Clarkson rather bluntly described in a recent ad as “it’s f***ing good.”
Known for its commitment to local producers and rural roots, The Red Lion is proud to support the #BackBritishFarming movement — and Hawkstone, brewed with barley from Clarkson’s own Diddly Squat Farm, ticks all the boxes.
“We’re genuinely excited to stock Hawkstone,” said David Harber, landlord of the Red Lion. “It’s premium, it’s British, and it’s got a bit of an edge — just like us, really. We’re all about doing things properly, and this beer deserves a proper welcome.”
Whether you’re a fan of Clarkson’s farming escapades or just in the mood for a quality pint on a summer afternoon, the event promises great beer, good company, and a chance to raise a toast to the best of British.
