Accident on B3400 at Ashe Causes Major Disruption to Traffic and Bus Services

Update: 10.50am: The B3400 is now OPEN after the earlier accident at Ashe, and buses are now back on their normal route.

Motorists and commuters are facing significant delays today after an accident completely blocked the B3400 at Ashe in both directions. Emergency services are on the scene, and road users are being advised to avoid the area if possible.

The incident has also caused widespread disruption to local bus services. Stagecoach service 76 is currently being diverted along the A303 between Basingstoke and Overton, adding extra travel time for passengers. Meanwhile, the 740 village bus service may not run at all today, with passengers urged to check the latest updates from Overton Parish Council before attempting to travel.

Local authorities have warned that traffic may be slow in surrounding areas as drivers seek alternative routes, and they are urging caution.

Residents in Ashe and neighbouring communities are also being asked to plan ahead, particularly during peak travel hours, as the situation may continue to affect the flow of traffic throughout the day.
