Bridge Street will be a blaze of colour this Sunday as the GT Sports Academy Colour Run returns to the ORC – and it promises to be even bigger and better than before.
Following the runaway success of last year’s event, the Colour Run is back on Sunday 27th July, and organisers say it’s shaping up to be a day to remember. Designed as a family-friendly extravaganza, the event combines fitness, fun, and a whole lot of colour – quite literally – as participants jog, walk, dance or cartwheel their way through a technicolour course.
The gates swing open at midday at the ORC on Bridge Street, with a host of activities to get everyone in the mood. There’ll be plenty of stalls to browse, a licensed bar for the grown-ups, and lots of entertainment to keep the kids happy.
A high-energy warm-up session kicks off at 1:15pm, led by GT Sports Academy’s own team of motivators, followed by the main event – the Colour Run itself – at 1:30pm. Expect flying powder paint, wide smiles, and a sea of white T-shirts transformed into kaleidoscopic works of art.
Speaking ahead of the event, a spokesperson for GT Sports Academy said: “Last year was incredible, but this year we’re going bigger – more colour, more fun, and more community spirit. Whether you’re running, walking or just soaking up the atmosphere, we want everyone to be part of it.”
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just in it for the paint and party vibes, the GT Sports Academy Colour Run promises a feel-good Sunday afternoon for all ages.
Don’t forget your white T-shirt… and maybe a pair of goggles!
