The disruption affected six postcode areas, covering the whole of central Basingstoke as well as communities including Overton, North Waltham, Laverstoke, Ashe and Freefolk.
Royal Mail said the problems began on Monday, August 17, as a result of βresourcing issuesβ at its Basingstoke Delivery Office on Priestley Road.
Customers in affected areas experienced delays to their post as the delivery office dealt with the staffing difficulties.
Royal Mail has since said the situation has improved, with services beginning to return to normal.
A spokesperson for the company said: βWe apologise to customers for the disruption to deliveries. The issues have improved and services are recovering.β
The Basingstoke Delivery Office has previously faced criticism over problems affecting local postal services, with concerns raised about the impact of delays on residents and businesses.
Royal Mail has not said how long it expects it will take for deliveries to fully return to normal across all affected areas.
