Stagecoach has announced that the price of its popular NightRider ticket will increase to £4 from 1st November 2025 — the first price rise for the nighttime travel ticket in over two years.
The NightRider ticket, which allows unlimited evening and late-night travel after 7pm, was last increased in June 2023. Stagecoach says the change reflects the rising cost of running services while still offering good value for money.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach said:
“We’re committed to supporting the nighttime economy and giving our customers more flexibility and peace of mind when travelling at night. Our NightRider ticket continues to offer exceptional value for money, equal to £2 per single journey each way after 7pm, with further savings on multiple journeys of three or more.”
Despite the price increase, Stagecoach says the ticket remains one of the most cost-effective options for late-night travel, particularly for regular commuters, shift workers, and those heading home after an evening out.
The company adds that continued investment in its nighttime services aims to make travelling after dark safer, easier, and more sustainable.
