Overton Hill Conservation Group
After the very cold spell, Overton Hill Conservation Group are ready to get started on some more thicket thinning. This is such an important part of the work we do each year as it helps provide access to sheltered, safe havens for wildlife especially for nesting birds in the coming months. Removing some of the dense thicket allows more light into the area’s to support the growth of the young trees. Join us 10.00am to 12.00 midday on Saturday 25th January. Our meeting point is Overton Community Orchard. We have all the equipment, but if you would like to use your own protective gloves please feel free to use those. Hot drinks and cake provided to our volunteers!
